Elite Status Membership

There are three levels for Eastern Miles Elite Status memberships:Platinum,Gold and Sliver.

Qualification Requirements:

Members can qualify for Platinum,Gold or Silver status by earning the required number of Elite Qualification Points (EQP) or Elite Qualification Segments (EQS) in 12 successive calendar months.

When Eastern Miles Silver members take CEA flights:

Piece Count: 1 pcs (within 32KG) for First / Business Class, 1 pcs (within 23KG) for Economy Class

By showing Elite cards, specified First-Class or Business-Class Lounges are accessible to Eastern Miles Platinum, Gold or Silver members. When Eastern Miles Platinum and Gold members visit First-class Lounges, he/she can invite one travel companion, who takes a CEA flight on the same day to the lounge.

When Eastern Miles Platinum members take outboard flights in Economy class, VIP Ferry Ride is provided under given conditions when the aircraft does not stop at the covered bridge. VIP Ferry Ride is only provided to First class and Business class customers who take inboard flights. The actual service is available or not based on local airport conditions.

Eastern Miles Platinum, Gold and Silver members can enjoy discounted prices when he/she purchases a Preferred Seat for himself/herself by cash.

During elite member validity period, Eastern Miles Platinum, Gold and Silver members can make an overdraft of miles up to 12000, 6000, 3000 points respectively. Eastern Miles Platinum, Gold and Silver members can enjoy this right when they take flights operated by KN.

If Eastern Miles Platinum, Gold and Silver members take flights in a booking class ineligible for Points Earning, they cannot earn Elite Bonus points. Eastern Miles Platinum, Gold and Silver members can enjoy this right when they take flights operated by KN.

       ⑩  In 48 hours before the plane departing and in the case of spare seats are available, the application for award flight ticket and awarded upgrading is guaranteed for the platinum card holder

⑪ After Eastern Miles Platinum members redeem CEA Flight Award Tickets and Upgrade Award Seats for himself/herself or his/her beneficiary, if he/she voluntarily refund his/her ticket during his/her elite member validity period, points are refundable. If the Platinum member redeems CEA Flight Award Tickets by round-trip standards, he/she can make one of the segments voluntarily refund and the balance of points will be refunded to the member's account, after deducting the one-way points of used segment.

Eastern Miles Platinum members can enjoy free upgrade benefits when taking CEA flights in the booking class except A/O/X class:

1)Upgrade not only by enjoying free upgrade benefits on domestic flights but also by using international/regional Free Upgrade Coupons, it should be upgraded class by class. Business Plus Class shall not be taken as the target upgrading seat.

2)No free baggage fare of the target class can be enjoyed after upgrading. Points shall be accumulated as per the original class after upgrading.

3)Eastern Miles Platinum member himself/herself can apply for unlimited free upgrade benefits when taking CEA one-stop domestic flights only if a Business Class seat is available. Eastern Miles Platinum member himself/herself can apply for upgrade from Economy Class to Premium Economy Class when Business Class seat is not available and Premium Economy seat is available. If he/she wants to enjoy this benefit, he/she should make request with his/her Eastern Miles membership card number at the First/Business cabin counter or online before check-in ends. 4)Eastern Miles Platinum member himself/herself can enjoy 4 international/regional Free Upgrade Coupons during his/her elite member validity period. Please call Platinum Card-dedicated line, login to China Eastern Airlines website or CEA APP to apply to use an international/regional Free Upgrade Coupon. On flights with Economy class, Business class and First class, it is only possible to have an upgrade award from Economy to Business class, or from Business to First. If the flight operates under Economy class/Premium Economy class, Business class/ Business Plus class, it is allowed to request upgrade award to Economy class/Premium Economy class to Business class.

5)After using International/ Regional Flight Upgrade Coupon, you should make up the difference of taxes if tax is changed, and the travel restrictions of the original ticket are still applicable. The coupon is considered as being used if you refund tickets voluntarily Eligible flights are limited to flights which are operated by China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines, and booked as 781 tickets. If it is an SPA interairline flight or non-CEA UATP paid tickets, it is not eligible for upgrade by using the Free Upgrade Coupon.

6)Free upgrade benefits for Eastern Miles Platinum members are not guaranteed when irregular flights happen, who have requested services such as special meal, special service, with baby/babies, through check-in baggage and so on.

Eastern Miles Platinum members can choose Added-Value benefits or make benefit reservations through Platinum Card-dedicated line or China Eastern Airlines website.

The value-added services are limited to the Platinum Card members. Once confirmed, it can't be changed or cancelled.

* If Eastern Miles Elite Benefits are inconsistent with the product terms, the product terms shall prevail.

Eastern Miles Elite Status Benefits of Greater China Connection

When Eastern Miles Silver members traveling in Economy class on flights between Mainland China and Chinese TaiPei/Mainland China and Chinese HongKong/Chinese HongKong and Chinese TaiPei which operated by China Airlines, China Southern, China Eastern and Xiamen Airlines (including code-share flights), they can use the specified self –operated airport lounges of these airlines after presenting their membership cards in physical forms.
